Sewers
While Mr José Luis de Pablo-Romero was Hermano Mayor (1986-1993), a group of female members was created in order for them to take care, preserve and sew the clothes and ornaments for worship in the Hermandad.
This task so unnoticed but at the same time important for the preservation of our textile heritage, is still currently done by an admirable group of female members. These sisters spend several hours a week, all year long, to this task. Participation has been encouraged in the last few years.
Fruits of their labour have been, for example, the sewing of the baldachins for worship, recuperation of altar clothing, preservation of dalmatics, whites and other ornaments. They have also made a new niche cloak for Our Lady of Saint Rosary.
